After we finished the remodel, we had these hugely overgrown Holly trees removed from our front yard.
And Carrie, the woman who own the duplex across from us, asked if they could have some of the trunk pieces.

Carrie knocked on our door and brought us this wooden bowl made out of our Holly tree. A friend of hers made it and wanted us to have one, since it was made from the wood we gifted them. I think it's neat to have a piece of our Holly tree back in a beautiful and useful form.
