April 3, 2018: Spring Break trip to Texas to see Josh's Mom, Papa Moe and siblings. When we arrived at the Portland airport, we found out that our flight had been rebooked to connect in Phoenix instead of Denver. They said the reason was because the flight to Denver was delayed and that we would miss our connecting flight. The flight going through Phoenix was leaving an hour later. So we walked around the airport shops for a few minutes and ate.
After going through security, Josh asked me to check the flights. When I checked our flight status, I found out that the new flight they booked us for had been delayed an additional hour and a half and would only have a 25 minute connection time in Phoenix. And after checking our original flights again, we found they had made up some time and we would have a 45 minute connection if we went through Denver. So we ran to the Denver gate, explained the situation and they were able to put us back on our original flights, at the last minute. But unfortunately there wasn't enough time to transfer our bags. We figured, that at least they would be going to the same destination, so we'd get them either way.

When we arrived around 12 am, I checked the status of the flight coming in from Phoenix, (the one with our bags) that should have arrived close to the same time, only to find out it had been delayed and would not arrive until 3:50 am. And I was instantly even more grateful that Josh had been prompted to check the flights and we had been able to get on the Denver flight. We were so tired at that point, that I couldn't even imagine being on a flight until almost 4 am.
We were able to arrange for Southwest to deliver our bags to our location the next day, picked up our rental car and drove to Mimi and Papa's. We arrived about 1 am and the boys met their dog, Zita. Versii instantly wanted Zita to lay by him!
April 4: The next morning, we spent time relaxing, the boys explored the property, playing on the trampoline and playing pool. Our bags ended up being delivered around 1pm.

Paxton ended up getting hurt on the trampoline when he landed wrong and caught his knee in the springs. So he spent a few hours relaxing inside with an ice pack. Luckily it was just a little swollen with some bruising.

April 5: Josh's sister Autumn and her kids drove up to visit. Here's a video of Josh playing guitar with his niece Ari on the cello...and Kaden assisting with a bowl as percussion.
