Introducing Elder Owens

We received Kaden's Missionary packet, including his name tags and Certificate to Minister signed by the Prophet, President Russell M Nelson.

His name tag had a small photo shoot LOL, my favorites are below.

May 10, 2022: Kaden was able to go to the temple and be there with Ajah, as she took out her endowments to prepare for her mission.  It was extra special because it was her birthday.  

Kaden's first mission companion is Elder Friend, from Virginia.

May 15th, 2022

Introducing Elder Owens! Kaden was just set apart as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He gave an beautiful farewell talk in sacrament today. He starts online training bright & early tomorrow morning at 6am. And he’ll be leaving for the Mexico City MTC on May 31st. And then on to Guatemala on June 28th! We’re so very proud of him and are beyond excited to hear all about his experience and love for the Guatemalan people he will serve.

Happy 19th Birthday Elder Owens! Kaden celebrating his birthday as a missionary, doing at-home MTC training. You have grown up to be such an amazing man, your light and big heart make the world a better place. We love you so much and are so proud of you. We have been blessed to have you in our home and now the people of Guatemala will be blessed to know you as you share your kindness & love with them!

We enjoyed a nice family dinner for Kaden's birthday and inviting Ajah to eat with us when she came to drop off a birthday gift to Kaden.  

May 21st, 2022: We held a Farewell Open House for Elder Owens.  

I made the colorful garland and found fun balloons.  

I found these cute little Guatemalan toothpick flags on Amazon.  

Ajah and Kaden decided to color coordinate the Jarritos.
