April 15: Our day at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida.
Soon to be 12th Grade Grad: Kaden Owens, Class of 2021
The cheetah. So much beauty and grace.
The Cheetah Hunt was the first ride the boys all went on and ended up being their favorite ride of the day!
The boys enjoying the thrill of the rides, while I try to wait in the shade.
The Safari tour feeding the giraffes. Because I'm not able to go on any of the rides, I really wanted to go on this Safari tour to see the animal up close and feed the giraffes. We booked our tickets around 11:30am and our tour time wasn't until 3:30pm. (The tour is an additional cost on top of park admission.) Paxton was so excited for the tour, all we heard from the time the tickets were booked until the tour time was, "What time is it? What time is our tour?" He just couldn't wait!
Only Josh and Kaden were brave enough to face the Falcon Fury, at 350 ft rise and drop.
Riding the carousel. The boys thought they were a little old for that haha!
How our guys measure up to the Tiger.
We joked that this little squirrel followed us around the park all day. Every time we turned around, there he was.
Feeding the Lorikeet's nectar in the bird sanctuary.
It was pretty cool. The boys loves it!
And the Lorikeet's especially loved Kaden.
Paxton just loves all living things. He was in awe of the birds.
On the safari tour.
This giraffe Mama recently had twins.
Feeding the giraffes was definitely the highlight of the Safari tour!
So amazing to be so close to them and feel the texture of their tongues as they lick you while eating the lettuce straight from your hand.
And for me the safari tour was the best part of the day!
We all really enjoyed the tour! It was an experience we will treasure!
Definitely take the Safari tour if you have the chance while visiting Busch Gardens! It will not disappoint!
I love that Busch Gardens is not only a theme park with rides the boys could enjoy, but also a place we could see so many beautiful animals up close. We had a great day!
