July 1, 2021: Julie and I took the kids to Pioneer Park.
It's funny because the didn't really want to leave the house, but we didn't give them a choice, and then we we got to the park, they didn't want to leave!
The kids getting ready to hike "The Crack"...it was so narrow, Julie and I couldn't fit, so we kept Brielle with us and then Versii got part way through and decided it was hard to maneuver his way through, especially with his big size 13 feet.
Julie and I waiting for the boys.
Versii wanted pictures all over! He loved all the cracks and crevasses to explore.
And he loved that this huge tree was just growing in between the rocks.
Exploring "Boy Scout Cave"
Within Pioneer Park is a huge cave in the rocks. Apparently many Boy Scout Troops have camped out in this cave. And someone even built a fireplace inside.
The boys thought it would be super fun to camp there.
The boys on top of Dixie Rock.
Brielle helped everyone stay cool with the misting bottle, she especially loved spraying herself.
After exploring Dixie Park, we drove over to see Michael's at his office. He works for a tech company called Vasion. Funny, because again, the boys didn't really want to go, but then they had so much fun, again, they did not want to leave! Haha!
The boys enjoying pickle ball.
Basketball!
Video games: For some reason they had disabled the pin ball and video game, so the kids didn't get to play these, but the employees usually get to enjoy them.
Air Hockey.
Foosball
Versii enjoying the free drinks from the unlimited soda machine provided for employees.
The boys checking out the sound-proof booths that can be used for private meetings and phone calls.
Part way through the tour and all the gaming, Pax and Wash decided they were going to go to college and then both get jobs at Vasion. They thought it was just about the coolest workplace ever!
The boys pretending they were running a board meeting.
Exploring the movie theatre.
Playing shuffleboard.
After playing at Vasion, we went to the Pizza Factory for lunch. They have the most delicious, giant breadsticks on a stick.
To finish off the days adventures, we took Mom and the boys to see Glitter Mountain. They don't allow power tools to mine, but you are allowed to bring hand tools. All day long we dragged these boys to different locations, and all day, they didn't really want to go, but each time after getting there, they did not want to leave!
We found out that chiseling by hand is actually very difficult! But the boys were up for the challenge and tried very hard competing to see who could mine the biggest pieces.
Tux wasn't super impressed with all the glitter, but found a nice spot in the shade to stretch out and relax.
Some of the cleanest and biggest pieces of selenite the boys collected.
It was a fun day filled with unexpectedly exciting adventures for the boys!
