Joy’s 40th Birthday

August 30, 2019: Josh’s Mom and husband Moe came up from Texas to visit us.  This was Moe's first time to visit us here in Washington.

My cousin Maryann (aka Nan) also came to town from Colorado to celebrate with me.  Her 40th birthday is 2 days after mine.

I tried to avoid planning much for my 40th Birthday because the accident left me mentally and physically unable to know how I would feel on a daily basis.  I didn't want to plan a big party and then on the day of feel miserable and not enjoy it.  So I kept it low key and kind of last minute, I finally planned a get together with my girl friends.  I was pleasantly surprised how many were able to come and celebrate with me on such short notice.

She and I met in the 4th grade at Beavercreek Elementary school.   Which is a funny story because she didn't like me at first, but I soon won her over and we've remained friends ever since. 

My cousin Kathy couldn’t make it out to Pix, but came over to the house to see us afterward. 

Kathy is also sisters with Maryann and Tammy.
