Back to Cortez & On to Durango

July 6, 2021: Josh and I drove back to Cortez and this time we parked the trailer at his brother Jordan's.
We ran into some trouble when we hooked up the trailer because it looked like Jordan had a 50 amp connection, but it was really 100 amps (2 -50 amps on the same circuit). So as soon as they hooked up the trailer, there was a loud pop and smoke started coming out from the back of the TV.   We shut everything down quickly, but that surge of extra electricity ended up frying the converter and the electric fireplace as well.  Without the converter, the AC stopped work properly.
But they got the circuit changed to 50 amp and we were able to enjoy power again.
Josh's sister Dani came over with her kids to say hello, so we all hung out in the trailer while Josh put on a cartoon for Harlen to watch.  She enjoyed snuggling with Uncle Josh.

We left Tux with Jamie and Jordan while we went to Durango for the wedding.
He had a great time playing with their 3 dogs!
July 8: Josh and his friend Cody at the Welcome BBQ to kick off the wedding weekend celebration.
July 9: Our friend, Crystal, had told us to be sure to stop and have crepes at Michel's Corner in Durango.  Josh and I went there for breakfast and it did not disappoint!

We got both sweet and savory.  Josh ordered eggs, mergez and green chili and I tried the chocolate, banana, almond.  They were both delicious!
Beautiful views of the mountains in Durango.

We stopped by Pinkerton Hot Springs, which was just off the road on the way to Silverpick Lodge for the wedding rehearsal.  It is a natural hot springs, but the water was definitely on the cooler side.
