The Quilt that Love Built ;)

(Josh will say the title of this post is so corny....but I love it!)
March 10, 2011 - Josh has been wanting a new quilt for a long time. We decided to make a quilt from a bunch of his old T-shirts, half of them were his. (Last term, Josh had to make something for his class, from recycled materials. So, although I think he only cut a few squares, and stitched a few inches...he did over see my work on the project. The pictures are proof of his involvement. :) ...And he'll probably kill me for posting them...but I love you Josh!
Josh did personally approve each square and the quilt layout. And, well...I did everything else.
Here it is up on the quilt frame. I hand quilted each square and it took hours. I think about 2 days.
March 22 - 12 days later. Here is the finished quilt. I'm really pleased with the finished quilt. Josh chose a blue "Chicago Bears" fleece for the edging. The Chicago Bears have always been Josh's favorite football team.
I hand stitched around the little "Fender" patch and it's open at the top --- A little pick pocket for his guitar pick. :)
Josh chose a great tan jersey for the quilt backing. And the quilt batting was made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. So this quilt is over 50% "green" as they say. Josh loves it so much, we had to sleep with it on our bed for days after completion. I love you Josh!
