PR Day 2: Cemeterio Santa Maria Magdelena de Pazzi

November 5, 2021:
Cemeterio Santa Maria Magdelena de Pazzi
Established in 1863, it is said to be the resting place for many of Puerto Rico's most prominent natives and residents.  When you look up this cemetery, you will learn the following:
"The colonial Spanish government at the time construction of the cemetery commenced, viewed death with fear because it was a mystery. Therefore, they decided to build the cemetery to overlook the Atlantic Ocean to symbolize the spirit's journey to cross over to the afterlife."

It was a beautiful location.

Along with stray cats all over the island, there are also plenty of roosters and chickens roaming about.

A baby chick.
