PR Day 1: Old San Juan

November 4th, 2021:
After we went to the beach, cemetery and the grocery store, Julie and I took an Uber into Old San Juan.
The old world architecture is so beautiful and unique.  I am in love with the blue cobblestone streets.  We heard a tour guide on a passing tour mention that we were 200 years old.
We saw so many stray cats all over Old San Juan.

The beautiful blue brick streets.

More stray cats lounging on the tennis courts.

The city of Old San Juan used to be entirely surrounded by these massive stone walls.

The Garitas that still stand as lookouts for the city.

In the distance, is the Govenor's mansion.
It is usually open for tours, but unfortunately, it was closed for tours while we were in town.

Inside Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan, the second oldest church in the Americas.
Umbrella Street, although we were a little sad to see that the umbrella were not as colorful as usual.

Capilla del Santo Cristo de la Salud, a tiny chapel dating back to the 18th Century.

As we were walking, we happened on this cute pizza place, called Parilo.
Once inside, you walked to the back and up this narrow staircase to the 2nd floor.

It was so pretty inside.

And the food was delicious!

The Plaza Colon in Old San Juan.
Puerto Rico had already begun decorating for Christmas, in the beginning of November!

We walked and walked all over the streets of old San Juan and then we got a ride back home to relax and watch a movie before bed.  I just love Old San Juan, it was so beautiful!  So much detail throughout the city to enjoy.
