Beverly Beach Campout

July 3rd, 2022
Camping at Beverly Beach State Park.

Versii wearing Kaden's sweater poncho.
It makes him feel close to Kaden, while he's far away.
Beautiful Beverly Beach.

Roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.

The boys enjoying the hammocks.
July 4th!
Yaquina Head Lighthouse, we didn't make it for low tide, so we didn't hike down to the beach.

If you look closely, you can see the bald eagle perched in this tree.

Playing on Agate Beach.
It was difficult to really enjoy hanging out on this beach because it was filled with sand dunes and incredibly windy...but beyond that, the wind was blowing sand around, so sand was constantly blowing in your face and all over everything.

The boys made themselves a teeter-totter and had the best time!

We had originally planned to stay the night at camp on the 4th, but the first night there were some people camping with tents across from us, who had toddlers that cried loudly, on and off, all night long.  None of us slept well at all!  And you aren't allowed to set off fireworks on any Oregon beaches, so at the last minute, we decided to pack up camp and drive home.
Maryann and I walked over to see the sun setting on the beach just before we left.

We got home from the coast at around 11:45pm, so the boys had 15 minutes of fireworks fun!
