Girl's Getaway to Seaview and Long Beach

July 14th, 2022
My sister, Julie, and my niece, Ashlyn, came into town.
We planned a girl's getaway to the beach.
We stayed at the Seaview Cottages and it was a cute little place.
The bathroom was so funny and short.

We stopped by an antique mall and found these.
I send Josh a picture of this doll and he wanted me to buy it!
But honestly, the look on her face creeped me out and I refused LOL!

Ashlyn holding a dead crab.
For some reason there were so many of them washed up all along the shore.

A wooden sculpture of a gray whale.

The bones of a gray whale that washed up on shore in 1805.

The lightkeepers house at North Head Lighthouse near Cape Disappointment.

Gorgeous view of the light house at sunset!

The Alligator Man.

The Peter Iredale ship wreck.

The sand is almost black along Delaura beach.

Visiting the Flavel House in Astoria, a Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion built in 1885.
Old homes are so fun to explore, they have so much character and history.

A harp guitar.

The white house in the background is the Goonies house.
You can't drive up close to it, so we took a picture from the street below.
