Silverton and Silver Falls State Park

July 1, 2022
We took Maryann, Kurt and the kids up to Silverton.
We walked around the Gordon House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

We walked around downtown Silverton.
We had lunch at Akatsuki Sushi Bar.
The boys ordered fresh sushi and absolutely loved it!

While we were walking around Silverton, we came across this old church.
The owner happened to see us and invited us in.  He bought the old church and turned it into a studio.
Josh enjoyed sitting down and playing guitar.

Silver Falls State Park.

This is the South Falls.
The neat thing about South Falls is that you can easily enjoy it from all angles.
When you first hike over, you can see the beautiful view from the top and then when you hike down in closer to the falls, you can walk behind them and feel the mist of the falls.

While we were on our way to Silverton, Kaden was in Guatemala City, meeting his Mission President and Sister Woahn and meeting his new companion, Elder Jensen.
He flew into Guatemala from the Mexico City MTC the day before (June 30th).

July 2nd.
We all drove into Portland.  We stopped at Kitchen Kaboodle to buy new kitchen knives and found these awesome reclining lounge chairs.
Then we went to Andy and Bax, an army surplus store the boys love.

Paxton picked out a small cake pan at the kitchen store and then of course needed to bake a chocolate cake.  This is his first cake!
