December 2015

 November 28, 2015
Josh and Kaden put up our Christmas lights outside.
...And we put up our tree.

December 2, 2015
Versii's cub scout pack went to an adult care home to sing Christmas carols and visit with the residents.

Above: The two photos on the left are of graham cracker houses Versii made (top at scouts and bottom at school).  Center is the Christmas card Paxton made for our present;  the right top is his graham cracker house, made at school, and bottom right is his wrapping for our gift.

Hanging out with my friend Autumn, for a morning movie at her place: Catch and Release.  So much fun!  Autumn made blueberry muffins and popcorn, and her husband, Brian, made us scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast.

Versii's best friend, Mattias, invited him to celebrate at the "Birthday Table".  Here they are with Mattias' mom, Joyelle.

Versii rock climbing at Mattias' birthday party.  He said it was so much fun!

We took the boys to Joe's Crab Shack on the Columbia to see the Christmas Ships, on our friend Autumn's recommendation, and it did not disappoint.  We enjoyed some good food and then went out of their deck to watch the Christmas Boats.

S'Mores dessert, the boys all agreed it was delicious!
We never watched the Christmas Ships before, they are beautiful!  The boys thought the Co Ho Ho Ship was funny!
Above and Below are pictures I found of the ships online...ours didn't turn out great.  I brought our good camera, but alas I forgot to make sure the battery was replaced after charging it.

The boys really enjoyed watching the ships go by.

I visited Paxton's class for their Poetry Day.
Paxton reading his poem, "Mrs. Lomax is the Best!"
It's cute because he loved his kindergarten teacher. Ms. Alanis, so much that he didn't think he'd like any other teacher.

Kaden came upstairs dressed like this LOL!  When I inquired if he was really wearing that to school, he said, "Well, it's ugly sweater day, but I don't have an ugly sweater, so..."  Such a funny kid!

Josh and I went out to Voicebox, in downtown Portland, for my friend Nicole's birthday.  At Voicebox, you rent private rooms where just your group can get together and sing.
Josh singing karaoke with Jordan and Nicole's husband, Steve.  We had a great time!  And Nicole made sure that we all sang...a lot!  After, we stopped in to Moonstruck Chocolate and enjoyed some late night treats!  Happy Birthday Nicole!  Love you!

Paxton had been asking for a few days if Josh would take him to get a scorpion lollipop from the convenience store down the street.  He finally got one and he was so excited!  Below is the video of him trying it.
Versii's commentary is hilarious!  If we would have kept filming for another few seconds you would have heard Versii say, "I mean, I can't even believe this!  Who would put a baby scorpion in a lollipop anyway!  So gross!"
