Texas: Girls & Boys Day Out!

August 17, 2020: Girl's trip to Waco to visit Magnolia Market!  They have some really beautiful (and very expensive) furniture there.

The Silos at Magnolia Market.
This building is the bakery and we opted not to wait in line to get inside.
I just love this saying and the leather art.
Jenn said she had the leather and ink and everything we needed at her house to make our own.
So below is ours.  It was a little bit time consuming to make:
1. Cut the leather
2. Type the saying into the computer program for the Silhouette.
3. Print it on vinyl
4. lay clear contact paper on top of the vinyl
5. Place and stick the vinyl to the leather
6. Peel off the clear contact paper
7. Use an exacto knife to gently pry up all the letters, being careful to keep the little circles and triangles in the O's and A's in place.
8. Use the ink squeegee to careful smooth ink into the cut out letters.
9. Carefully peel off the vinyl.
I made 2 and they were a lot of work, but I'm happy with how they turned out.   Jenn has a lot of fun tools for creating art.  Thanks Jenn!

L to R: Heather, Joy, Jenn and Ariel
McKenzie and AO.
While we girls were in Waco, Josh and the boys went out on the boat with Heather's sister and husband, Krissy and Bobby.

The boys had a blast on this!

And they all got to try wake boarding for the first time!  It took them all a few attempts to get standing, but they all did it.  They had so much fun!
