Utah & Cortez for Norm's Funeral

September 2, 2020: Josh and I drove to Utah and staying with Grandma Black for the night, on the way to Colorado for Norman's funeral.  Mom surprised us and drove up from Saint George to Grandma's so she could see us while we passed through.  We drove in to Cortez on the 3rd.
Sep 4: We spent the day at Spencer & Nicole's farm in Cortez with family and attended Norman's viewing in the evening.

Norm's viewing.  They had time for people to share their thoughts and memories.  There was a mix of laughter and tears.  Norman was a bit of a joker and an adventurer, so there was no shortage of funny stories involving Norm.

Sep 5: Norman's graveside service was beautiful and very hot.

Sep 4-5: We had a long planned camping trip planned with my Brother Reed and Sakurako's family to go to the beach.  The boys live for these camping trips and really wanted to still go.   So we allowed them to stay home and Kaden drove the boys to meet up with Reed.  They had a great time, as always!

Sep 7: This was my fortune with our dinner.
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought."
I really like that.

Sep 9: Pink sun.  It was even more amazing in person.
Josh and I stopped in Boise, Idaho on our way home.
We walked around the Capital and Freak Alley, before dinner and then walked to Goodies for ice cream after.

Dinner at Fork.

Sep 10: The smoke from the Wildfires in California and Oregon was so thick when we got back to town, that you could barely see ahead.  We've never seen it this bad, even when the wildfires happened in the gorge, just across the river.  The air quality in Camas was at a hazardous level and everyone was advised to stay indoors.
